Low light conditions are a frequent element in Daniel's paintings.The use of indirect painting techniques such as multiple layers and glazing are a part of what brings richness and depth to his work. It's the illusion of detail that fascinates him. He believes that what is completed in the eye of the viewer can be more powerful than mere photographic depiction.
