Artists Submission Policy

Thank you for considering First Street Gallery for your gallery representation. We are an art gallery that represents modern and traditional representational artists. You may email submissions to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Submissions should include the following:

• Cover letter
• Biography
• Artist Statement
• A complete resume citing education and exhibition history.
• 20-30 images completed within the last twenty-four months.
• Attached images must be jpgs and marked with the title, measurements, medium and date of completion.
• Attachments should not exceed a total of 2MBs.

You may also wish to use general mail delivery. If so, please include slides or a disk with jpg images and five good quality printouts. Please include a cover letter, biography, artist statement and resume in your mailed submission with your slides or disk. You are welcome to include reviews, announcements and other written material which discuss your work.

The packet should be sent to First Street Gallery, ATTN: Artist Submission, 226 North First Street, Turlock, CA 95380. Please remember to include a self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of your materials. The gallery cannot be responsible for lost materials.

We will not accept any original artwork.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for a response.

Items can be preserved for years to come with preservation framing techniques. These include glass or acrylic that filters out ultraviolet light, reversible mounting methods and sealing the frame package to minimize the effects of weather.

It's important to take care of your artwork and other special items from the start. Also, if you have something that's already framed and it needs some TLC, we can re-frame it for you and give it a new, longer life!
