Tampopo is the Japanese word for dandelion. Our wholesale division developed from our retail store, Dandelion, hence the association with the word. Dandelion evokes fond childhood memories of playing with chains of dandelion stems and making a wish when blowing on a dandelion puff. It is a plant found in all but the Artic zones, and while used as a medicinal herb, it is usually reviled by adults as a weed. We associate the idea of beautiful, traditional and accessible forms with the idea of the dandelion, and have assembled a collection of designs, largely from Japan, that use traditional materials and techniques to create functional and decorative designs for the home.
