Richard Gomez
Richard Gomez is an artist and instructor who follows in the tradition of the Great Masters, specifically those of the 19th century realists. His philosophy on art is simple, he teaches that painting is very much a science and necessary to understand in order to make of it an art. Mainly a figurative painter, he also paints landscapes and still life's dealing with such themes as identity, culture and religion.
Richard has taught at UC Merced and continues to teach painting workshops throughout the Central Valley and Foothills. He is currently finishing his MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco
