Leslie Hurst
Leslie is an oil painter who lives and works in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. She graduated with Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from Washington State University. After raising her family she returned to painting more than a decade ago. Leslie’s expressionist painting style is open and loose. Her landscapes and still-lifes are infused with light, rich color, and contemplative space. Hurst’s love of saturated and heightened color, brings a dynamic sense of feeling and place to her work. It is also her love of composition that continues to engage her with the landscape and keeps her coming back repeatedly to try and capture the essence of the landscape. Leslie is also a avid traveler and she always paints wherever she goes.
